Angular Development Services for US Companies

In this article, we will discuss the history of our use of Angular JS libraries for our clients, starting in Santa Barbara, California, USA, back in 2010, and later in San Francisco. Next, we will explain the reasons why Angular libraries became so popular. Then, we will briefly explain the reason for transitioning to Angular 2 and compare this platform with React. Finally, we will discuss the principles you need to follow to choose the main Frontend Framework for your project.

The History

The need for a convenient front-end framework supporting SPA principles arose in the first decade of the 21st century. Back in 2008, we tried different ideas, such as Ext JS. The framework allowed using JavaScript to load the entire form into one pixel on the screen and then use AJAX to communicate with the backend. In our project, the requirement for a fast and convenient framework for a web application stemmed from the fact that we were working on an online course system that simultaneously contained a large amount of graphical and video material for training, and on the other hand, required a convenient architecture for testing students.

In 2008, there were no such JS frameworks on the market, and the only solution was to use Adobe Flex and ActionScript. The product was released, but as you remember, a revolution occurred in the IT world related to Apple. It was officially announced that this platform would not support ActionScript, and all IT companies involved in the topic began to intensively search for a solution.

The solution was the revolutionary Angular JS framework, which appeared in 2010. Our company was one of the first to start providing services for developing applications using AngularJS starting in 2010. This technology was popular both for new startup solutions and for migrating existing legacy web solutions to new SPA technologies.

React JS and the Transition to Angular 2

The emergence of the first serious competitor, the React library from Facebook, in May 2013 opened up new opportunities for all of us. React was in many ways ahead of AngularJS. Many programmers, IT architects, and serious investment funds began to question the products developed with AngularJS. As a result, a practically new product, Angular 2, was released in 2016. Apart from the name, it does not correlate with Angular. In other words, a project based on Angular 1+ cannot be easily and relatively inexpensively migrated to Angular 2+. Moreover, the developers of Angular 2 were unable to create a framework equivalent to React in terms of capabilities. For example, things like React Native, numerous CMS React-based frameworks, or new frameworks like Stencil did not allow Angular 2+ to achieve the same super popularity as it had before 2013.

However, as I mentioned earlier, as a company that has positioned itself for many years as providing application development services using Angular, all new projects starting from 2016 (if the client specifically needs Angular) are carried out using the latest stable release of this library.

Why Angular is still so popular in US

Currently, Angular, like React, is quite popular in the world of custom software development. The main criteria why many still choose Angular are its more convenient and stable performance in data entry systems. In other words, in cases where the user needs to enter a lot of data from the screen (for example, questionnaires or survey systems with many possible answers), the use of the Angular library is a more correct and balanced solution.

An example of such a system is an introductory questionnaire for joining, say, a private club. Such questionnaires can have up to several hundred fields for input, for example, in addition to the name and surname, full details of family members, as well as various characteristics from other clubs or workplaces.

Several of our American clients have taken our advice, and sometimes, depending on the requirements, we help with the selection and development of solutions using Angular and sometimes React. I would say that these are not competing frameworks but simply systems more or less suitable for one type of business or another.

When React is the Right Choice

The React library seems to be even more popular now. Often, clients do not need a large number of input fields, and the focus is often on simplifying web solutions. Additionally, keep in mind that there is React Native—a set of libraries that allows you to create applications adapted for mobile devices.

Conclusion

In this article, we reviewed the history of our work in the USA developing applications using Angular. Since 2010, several of our programmer teams have successfully completed dozens of projects for clients in sunny California, in cities like Santa Barbara and Palo Alto, in Texas—Dallas and Austin, and in Florida—Miami. We are happy to share our experience and skills with you to help you quickly, affordably, and effectively complete your project.
