Trivolve Tech, a blockchain and AI product studio, in collaboration with Quixy, a leading no-code/low-code enterprise platform, has officially launched IndianChain on the Cardano Mainnet. IndianChain is Cardano’s first agritech deployment to secure more than 10 million agricultural settlements.
The launch brings blockchain-based record keeping to agricultural settlements, with a focus on making records secure, timestamped and verifiable. By recording these settlements on Cardano, IndianChain creates a tamper-proof audit trail that supports trust in agricultural records and the transactions associated with them.
Agriculture is the backbone of India’s rural economy. However, the sector has long lacked a secure, unified system for managing agricultural records, verifying transactions and giving farmers fair access to credit. These gaps affect both the records farmers rely on and the systems used to manage agricultural settlements.
For many smallholder farmers, access to formal lending remains a challenge. Many depend on informal lenders charging high interest, underscoring the need for trusted agricultural records that can support credit verification. At the same time, governments have faced losses from procurement fraud and diversion, highlighting the need for secure records and traceability across agricultural transactions.
IndianChain addresses these gaps by recording agricultural settlements on the Cardano blockchain. Its tamper-proof, timestamped audit trail provides a verifiable record of settlements, bringing together the platform’s focus on record keeping, credit verification, traceability and secure data sharing.
Immutable record keeping is a core part of the platform. Both crop data and settlement information form part of this function, allowing agricultural information to be maintained within a tamper-proof audit trail. The emphasis is on preserving trusted records that support the verification of agricultural settlements.
The platform also enables credit verification based on trusted crop records, opening a path to formal lending. For farmers, the value of these records lies in having verifiable information they can take to a lender. This connects agricultural record keeping with the need for fair access to credit, particularly for smallholder farmers who depend on informal borrowing.
Farm-to-warehouse traceability is another key capability. By supporting traceability along this journey, IndianChain aims to prevent diversion and adulteration. This focus complements its settlement records, addressing the need for trust in both agricultural information and the movement of crops from farms to warehouses.
IndianChain also enables secure data sharing across agriculture, irrigation, food supply and finance departments. Alongside its record-keeping and verification functions, the platform supports the secure sharing of information across these departments. This capability forms part of its response to the sector’s need for a secure, unified system for managing agricultural records.
Commenting on the launch, the Trivolve Tech CEO remarked:
“IndianChain is a milestone for Trivolve, for Cardano and, above all, for farmers. By making every agricultural settlement verifiable on chain, we are giving farmers a trusted record they can take to a lender. With this first deployment, IndianChain can become the model for agricultural governance.”
With its launch on the Cardano Mainnet, IndianChain brings these capabilities together in an agritech deployment focused on securing agricultural settlements. Through immutable records, credit verification, farm-to-warehouse traceability and secure departmental data sharing, the platform seeks to address the gaps in trust and record management across India’s farm economy.
