iSpring Introduces the BRO900, a High-Capacity Seawater Desalination System for Boats, Yachts, and Marine Applications

For seasoned mariners and coastal residents, one truth holds firm: fresh water is as precious as gold. Whether anchored in a secluded cove, cruising between marinas, or navigating off-grid voyages, having a reliable source of drinking water can make life at sea more convenient and comfortable.

To help address this need, iSpring Water Systems, a leader in water filtration, has extended its expertise in water treatment into marine applications. The result is the BRO900, a professional seawater desalination system. By combining powerful filtration with a practical design, the system turns seawater into clean, great-tasting drinking water for crew, passengers, and everyday onboard use.

As the newest addition to iSpring’s product lineup, the BRO900 reflects the brand’s continued commitment to developing innovative, reliable water filtration solutions that help people enjoy cleaner, safer water wherever their lives or adventures take them.

Clean Water Meets Onboard Life: Inside the Innovation of the BRO900

Powerful 5-Stage Filtration for Fresh, Safe Water

The iSpring BRO900 desalination system delivers outstanding purification performance through its advanced 5-stage filtration process, which combines a stainless-steel mesh filter, a 20-micron PP filter, a 5-micron PP filter, a reverse osmosis membrane, and a built-in LED UV module housed in the control box. Each stage plays a dedicated role in removing contaminants from seawater. For example, the RO membrane serves as a powerful barrier against dissolved salts, PFAS, and heavy metals, while the UV treatment further improves water quality by reducing bacteria, viruses, and residual microorganisms. With comprehensive multi-stage filtration, the BRO900 efficiently transforms seawater into high-quality purified water.

Suction Pump and Booster Pump for Reliable Water Production

Keeping seawater flowing consistently into a desalination system can be challenging when a vessel is underway, as changes in speed and the hull’s rolling and pitching cause draft fluctuations that impact seawater intake. The iSpring BRO900 resolves this issue with a dedicated suction pump and a high-pressure booster pump. Specifically, the former draws sufficient seawater into the system to ensure stable flow even when the vessel is in motion, while the latter raises the water pressure to 600–900 psi, forcing seawater to pass through the specialized RO membrane for effective desalination. Working together, the two pumps enable the BRO900 to maintain dependable operation throughout every voyage.

Smart Control Box for Convenient Operation

The iSpring BRO900 is engineered not only to efficiently provide fresh water but also to simplify operation. Its control box panel features a real-time TDS display, an RO flow meter, and two pressure gauges that show intake and RO pressure, helping operators keep track of system status and filtration performance. Furthermore, dedicated suction and RO pressure regulators allow precise pressure adjustments tailored to varying sea conditions and salinity levels, while separate switches for the suction and booster pumps provide enhanced operational flexibility.

Automatic RO Membrane Flushing for Easier Maintenance

Salt and other substances in seawater can gradually accumulate on the RO membrane, leading to scaling and biofilm formation that reduce filtration efficiency and shorten the membrane’s service life. Routine flushing of the RO membrane is therefore key to maintaining optimal performance. To make ownership simple, the BRO900 is equipped with an automatic flusher that periodically rinses the RO membrane with filtered water to help prevent salt buildup, biofouling, and scaling. Users can schedule flushing once a week and set the desired flushing duration. For added convenience, flushing can also be started manually whenever necessary.

Durable Construction for Harsh Marine Conditions

Seawater’s high salinity, combined with airborne salt spray, humidity, and temperature fluctuations, causes a much faster corrosion rate for metallic materials than on land. To withstand these demanding marine environments, the iSpring BRO900 is constructed with corrosion-resistant materials to ensure reliable performance over extended periods at sea. Additionally, considering that vessels often encounter rough seas and adverse weather, the BRO900 features robust, durable components designed to endure the bumps and vibrations experienced during navigation, providing greater peace of mind on every voyage.

Investing in Quality: How the iSpring BRO900 Redefines Life Onboard

Improved Drinking Water Quality

Powered by innovative filtration technologies, the iSpring BRO900 effectively eliminates up to 99% of dissolved salts, bacteria, heavy metals, and other impurities to deliver clean, fresh-tasting purified water for direct drinking, preparing beverages, and cooking. Its reliable contaminant removal performance helps ensure that crew members and passengers enjoy total confidence at every meal and with every sip.

Extended Cruising Range with On-Demand Freshwater

On long voyages and offshore expeditions, carrying large volumes of freshwater takes up valuable onboard space and adds significant weight, potentially reducing fuel efficiency and limiting cruising range. With a compact, modular design, the iSpring BRO900 helps maximize available space for pipes, cables, and other essential equipment. Notably, by delivering purified water on demand, the system reduces the need to store hundreds of gallons of water onboard, helping vessels to venture farther offshore.

Reduced Water Burden for Daily Onboard Use

The iSpring BRO900 is a professional onboard seawater desalination system built for boats, yachts, and coastal living. Operating at a standard pressure of 800 psi, it produces up to 900 gallons of pure, refreshing water to support daily crew and operational needs on board. With ample fresh water available, everyday tasks such as cooking, laundry, cleaning, and personal care become easier to manage, without the constant worry of running short on water or having to ration supplies.

Setting Sail: Launch Details & Special Introductory Offers
